The officiality came yesterday: Fiorentina, as announced through its social channels, has been admitted to the preliminaries of the next Conference League in place of Juventus, which was disqualified by UEFA for one year from European competitions. The "bianconeri" club had announced that it would not proceed with the appeal, and so the purple team, eighth in the league, takes its place. Juventus had been excluded from the Conference League on July 28, for the 2023-2024 season, in addition to receiving a 20 million euro fine. UEFA's decision was due to its failure to comply with the Settlement Agreement, the agreement by which the Bianconeri team committed last August to fall within the parameters of Financial Fair Play by 2025.
