The desire in Italy to move on four wheels is growing: the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport reported yesterday that 119,207 cars were registered in July compared to 109,611 registrations recorded in the same month of the previous year, representing an increase of 8.75 percent. Transfers of ownership," the ministry note reported, "were 498,970 compared to 376,716 transfers recorded in July 2022, an increase of 32.45 percent. The overall monthly sales volume of 617,677 involved 19.30 percent new cars and 80.70 percent used cars. The registrations represent the findings of the National Vehicle Database as of July 31, while the data on transfers of ownership refer to the certifications issued by the DMV Offices, also in July.
