"Dear homosexuals, you are not normal, come to terms with it." It is just one of the many homophobic shots that can be read in the book (self-produced) by Italian army general Roberto Vannacci. Already head of the paratroopers of the Folgore and then at the head of the Military Geographic Institute, Vannacci embarrassed the army (and not only) by writing: "If it is not in the nature of man to be a cannibal, why should it be for the right to parenthood? Rainbow couples are not normal. Normality is heterosexuality. If everything seems normal to you, however, it is the fault of the plots of the international gay lobby". The title of the book is "The world on the contrary" and already in the opening the author gives an explanation: according to him, minorities "are imposing questionable rules of inclusion and tolerance". The trail was long and after the controversy that accompanied the publication of the book, with a dispatch from the Army General Staff came the reaction of the State: General Vannacci was removed from the leadership of the Military Geographic Institute of Florence. Given the uproar of the affair, no replacement ceremony will be held. Now Vannacci will be at the disposal of the Command of the Land Operational Forces, which is based in Rome, although he will be able to remain stationed in Florence.
