The Council of State has put an end to the long legal battle over the 2005-06 Scudetto awarded to Inter after Calciopoli: the title will remain with the Nerazzurri club. The appeal filed by Juventus against FIGC, Inter and CONI to reform the Lazio Regional Tribunal's ruling last October was rejected by the Council of State in a ruling published yesterday. At the time, the Regional Administrative Court had declared inadmissible, due to absolute lack of jurisdiction, the Bianconeri's appeals for the annulment of the decisions of the Sport Guarantee Board regarding the November 15, 2011 award issued by the TNAS Arbitration Board. The latter, in turn, had declined jurisdiction to decide on the July 2011 rejection by the Federal Council of the FIGC of the petition to revoke in self-defense the measure adopted by extraordinary commissioner Guido Rossi in July 2006 by which, in particular, the title of Italian champion for the 2005/06 season was awarded to Inter, after the revocation of the title itself to Juventus.
