Yet another case of tourists disregarding the law and the preservation of Italian cultural heritage. Last night in Florence a German tourist climbed onto the Neptune fountain in Piazza della Signoria to take a selfie and damaged the monument. The young man was reported and, thanks to cameras, was immediately identified. For the act, the tourist will have to pay a fine, which the Mayor of Florence has already referred to as "salty".It was the city's first citizen himself who posted on social media a photo and video showing the tourist in the act of climbing the monument and damaging it.
