Pope Francis has returned from his apostolic trip to Mongolia. On the return flight, Pope Francis spoke to reporters present about the Synod, explaining that "it is not a TV program" and it is not a parliamentary assembly. The Pontiff also explained the meaning of his words to the young Russians, reiterating that it was an invitation not to forget their great cultural heritage. Extreme candor for the Pope in a passage of the press discussion, "I tell you the truth: for me to make a trip now is not as easy as it was at the beginning," adding that the next trip to Vietnam could be made by John XXIV. Pope Francis also sent a telegram to the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, focusing once again on the theme of cooperation among peoples. "On my return from the apostolic journey, which led me as a pilgrim of hope to Mongolia," the Holy Father wrote, "where I encouraged the small portion of God's people engaged, in a missionary and ecumenical spirit, in the witness of charity and mercy, I heartily renew to you Mr. President and to the beloved Italian people my benevolent greeting and my paternal blessing, as an incentive to cooperate in a more fraternal and peaceful world.
