The Rome Public Prosecutor's Office has asked for a sentence of 7 1/2 years in prison (the maximum provided by the Penal Code) for Andrea Piazzola, former assistant of Gina Lollobrigida. The defendant is charged with the crime of circumvention of an incapacitated person for misappropriation of assets from the actress' estate between 2013 and 2018. To be fully understood, the case must be carefully reconstructed. The actress died at the age of 95 last January 16, after a long period of life in which Piazzolla, according to prosecutors' reconstruction, allegedly kept her "in isolation in a state of vulnerability". Between 2013 and 2018, the diva's assistant allegedly appropriated homes, jewelry, cash and cars by exploiting the very condition in which she was kept. Nothing remained of the estate of the woman who became a symbol of Italy in the world according to the civil parties, her son Andrea Skofic and ex-husband Javier Rigau. According to the latter's lawyers, up to the time "Lollo" met Piazzola, that is in 2009, her assets would have amounted to about 10 million euros.
