The Ferrari winery in Trento has been named "Producer of the Year" for the sixth time. With 9 gold medals, the winery won the title of Sparkling Wine Producer of the Year at The Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships, the most prestigious international competition dedicated to bubbles. The competition evaluates more than 1,000 labels from more than 19 countries each year. With a total of 74 gold medals and 117 silver ones, Italy surpasses France in terms of the number of awards won. Since its founding, The Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships has been able to establish itself as the most authoritative competition, thanks in part to its founder, Tom Stevenson, and judges Essi Avellan and George Markus, who are among the world's top wine experts. The award will be presented in London on November 2.
