29% of university students struggle to afford their rent and bills. This is the conclusion drawn from the statistics made public yesterday by the trade unions Cgil, Udu, and Sunia. According to the three organizations, 56% of students are dissatisfied with the expense of housing, 47% with the conditions of their apartments, and 41% with the lack of housing. However, there are other elements that pose a problem: 14% report discovering nearly exclusively female students' housing. Scams are also a concern, as 46% of respondents claim to have come across false adverts. The unions also stated that they had received 246 reports of racism. The problem of university housing persists, awaiting the Control Room on the subject at Palazzo Chigi, which was convened as a result of the remodulation of the fourth installment of the NRRP.
