Some politicians in Santa Marinella, a small municipality on the coast of Rome, are under investigation for alleged corruption and conspiracy against the mayor. But, for various reasons, it is the mayor, Pietro Tidei, 77, who finds himself at the center of the controversy. Despite being unrelated to the case at all, the investigators still decided to set up some hidden cameras in his office to catch any shady dealings going on in the city hall. Nothing beneficial to the investigations emerges from his actions, but one of the accused, as is his right, sought a copy of the environmental interceptions, and it emerges from the videos that the mayor Tidei engaged in sexual intercourse with two women in the antechamber of his office. A private story unrelated to the probe made public by the daily La Verità. Those bugs were put in place to look for crooked and corrupt persons, and they had nothing to do with Mayor Tidei. Those videos, however, do exist and have been made public: "Isn't it obvious that this is a political vendetta? That is, they are private facts that have no bearing on the investigation, and I have no intention of discussing them," Tidei explained to Corriere della Sera. The story that is being investigated dates back to 2022. The owner of a well-known famous restaurant, also on the Roman coast, is accused of paying thousands of euros to solve commercial problems by offering dinners in exchange for information and special attention from the institutions.
