The Anti-Inflation Quarter kicked off yesterday, October 1, with more than 23,000 retail outlets throughout Italy having already joined. So many adhesions, from retail and individual businesses. The initiative promoted by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, which aims to protect the purchasing power of citizens and families, will last until December 31: the adhering shops throughout the country will offer a wide range of basic necessities, food and non-food, baby and FMCG products at lowered prices - to be determined by companies and distribution chains - with a commitment to contain and not increase prices during the period of reference. "A real 'tricolor basket,'" the Ministry had announced, "will be made available to consumers through initiatives such as fixed prices, promotions, private label products, discounted or single price carts. Participating point of sales will offer products at a lowered price, making them easily recognizable to consumers through the display in commercial businesses and on the shelves of the 'Anti-inflation Quarter' logo: a tricolor shopping cart".
