The scorching weather in Italy continues. And when everyone was expecting classic "octobertime" temperatures, here instead are summer temperatures, with heat peaks that will touch as high as 33 degrees Celsius in several locations. A major new pulse of the African anticyclone Apollo will affect Italy in these early October days. As Meteo.it explains, this will result in unseasonably warm weather, with temperatures of 32-33°C over the Po Valley, the two Major Islands and Tuscany and Lazio, where we will have fully summery days, especially in cities like Rome and Florence. These are almost record-breaking values for the beginning of October: at this stage, temperatures are expected to be around 22-23°C.
