The first pan-European virtual center for cyber risk management in real-time is now operational. The structure is merely the initial phase of a larger project entrusted to the Italian firm Leonardo and the Spanish firm Indra: the construction of a physical center in Brussels that will enable the European Commission to operate directly against cyber threats. In anticipation of the CEO Roberto Cingolani's new industrial strategy, cyber security emerges as one of the strategic pillars to increase the profitability of the Leonardo group. And it is one of the factors that has contributed to the 68% increase in the stock price since the beginning of the year. The physical infrastructure that will be built, according to the group's technicians, will also have the support of Leonardo's Regional Center in Brussels, part of the company's Global security operation center, which, with an architecture based on an office in Italy (in Chieti), and other operational centers in Italy, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East, manages over 137,000 cybersecurity events per second.
