From December 1 to 3, the "Zecchino d'oro" will return. The edition number 66 of the festival dedicated to children's songs will air on Rai1 with the claim "Music can". Yesterday the album composed of the 14 new songs in the competition was released digitally. Among the 35 authors who sign the tracks, there are both experts in children's songs and Italian pop stars, including Max Gazzè, Loredana Bertè, Matteo Bocelli, Paolo Vallesi and Lorenzo Baglioni. Performing live again this year will be 17 young singers accompanied by the Piccolo Coro dell'Antoniano directed by Sabrina Simoni, who will perform the songs in the competition during the telecast. The children, aged between 5 and 10, come from 10 different regions - for the first time in the history of the Zecchino d'Oro there is also Valle D'Aosta - and from 3 foreign countries (Greece, Bulgaria and Albania). This brings to a total of 1,101 children who have participated as performers from 1959 to the present. The songs further enrich the record-breaking repertoire of the Zecchino d'Oro - 832 songs in total - loved to such an extent that on the YouTube channel it surpasses 2 million 222 thousand subscribers and 2 billion 237 million total views, and reaches over 80 million streams and more than 20 million listeners on Spotify.
