Tense moments yesterday morning in Turin when a large group of protesters, about 300 people, took part in a rally protesting the presence in the city of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, who arrived in the capital for the final day of the Festival of Regions and Autonomous Provinces. Several moments of high tension between protesters and law enforcement: the rally was first blocked and surrounded by policemen, then there were minor clashes when protesters came into contact with the police cordon. Immediately afterwards there was egg throwing against police. More tense moments occurred when protesters tried to reach the venue where the festival was taking place. The banner displayed in front of the procession read "Meloni you're not welcome in Turin".
