Stress and unhealthy behaviors endanger the sexual health of young Italian men, who are becoming more uncomfortable between the sheets. Erectile dysfunction still primarily affects men over the age of 40, but there has been a gradual decrease in the age of individuals who are unable to have sexual intercourse in recent years. Even increased usage of hormones such as testosterone, which are frequently utilized by young people to stimulate muscle mass growth, raises the risk of developing the medical condition, according to Alessandro Palmieri, president of the Italian Society of Andrology. Palmieri defines erectile dysfunction as "the inability to initiate and complete sexual intercourse that is satisfactory to the patient." He continues by stating that "It is anticipated that 3 million young or relatively young Italians are affected by it, but due to a lack of updated data on the pathology, it is probable that the number of males affected is higher." Palmieri emphasizes that, from a therapeutic standpoint, in addition to typical oral medicines, there are now highly effective sprays with a rapid mechanism of action and absolute validity for the patient.
