For 48 hours there has been no trace in Israel of two Italian citizens who were in the Be'eri kibbutz in the Negev desert. This was reported last night on Tg1 news programme by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani. The citizens, with dual Italian-Israeli citizenship, "are a man and a woman, husband and wife, although first we thought it was father and son: they are not answering the family's calls," the minister said. "Either they were taken hostage or they are missing, we don't have the certainty yet," Tajani added. Italy is working "closely with Tel Aviv" on the issue. "We hope to find them, but right now we have no other news," Tajani continued.
