Gasoline prices fell yesterday to 1.945 euros, reinforcing a continued decline in the cost of fuel, which has seen a 5.3-cent drop in the past two weeks. The same trend for diesel fuel, which today recorded a price of 1.914 euros, a decrease over the past 14 days of 2.3 cents. This is reported by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), which warns, however, that this downward price trend may unfortunately be adversely affected by the turmoil in the markets resulting from the Hamas attack on Israel and what may follow, as also evidenced by the surge in the price of Brent crude oil today, which rose to more than $87. Mimit's alertness on this front continues to be high, through its designated monitoring facilities.
