The African anticyclone will keep our country safe for another week. After that, fall will arrive with heavy rains, thunderstorms, and a much cooler climate. The African anticyclone will progressively exit Italy between Saturday 14 and Sunday 15. However, it will continue to provide heat and fine weather to almost all locations until then. From Monday, September 9 to Friday, September 13, all of Italy will be under the summer umbrella of the anticyclone, according to IlMeteo.it - A largely clear sky will ensure pleasant weather in most areas. Cloudiness will be more prevalent in Liguria, northern Tuscany, and along the Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia beaches, especially in the morning. There will also be local mists or short fog banks in the early morning, particularly in the Triveneto plains. And it will remain hot. Temperatures will continue to be above average, with highs still exceeding 30 degrees, not only in the Center-North, but also in the South, including Sicily and Puglia. All of this, though, will come to an end. According to the most recent European Centre updates, air circulation in Europe will undergo a major transformation. The Atlantic currents will become increasingly vigorous, and the African anticyclone will be driven away as latitude decreases. The arrival of the currents on the Mediterranean Sea, which is still sufficiently warm, will support the formation of a cyclone, causing an intense period of terrible weather in several Italian regions. Rain will return, possibly snow at heights up to 2,000 meters, but above all, fall will arrive with major temperature drops, possibly as much as 10 degrees below current levels. Autumn is going to break in soon.
