Three billion euros of new revenue for the state coffers, from this year to 2026, between taxes and contributions. It is the estimate of the economic impact of the entry into Italy of non-EU workers admitted with the flows decree. The estimate is contained in the Annual Report on the Economics of Immigration of the Leone Moressa Foundation. The places for the entry of workers from non-European countries provided for by the flows decree are almost 575 thousand in four years: 225,555 subordinate and self-employed and 349,150 seasonal. The estimate of the new tax revenues guaranteed by immigrants was made considering the average incomes of foreign-born taxpayers and assuming that seasonal workers remain in Italy for at least one semester. It emerges that every year each non-EU worker in good standing should bring 4,472 euros of new annual income. Extending the calculation to the four-year period 2023-2026, new total revenues are obtained for three billion, 1.2 of which can be traced back to 2026, the year in which the number of immigrants will be greater.
