The inflation rate perceived by Italian consumers is much higher than the real one, and jumps to 11.2%, compared to a price increase index detected by Istat in September which stopped at 5.3%. The strongest perception of price increases, compared to a year ago, concerns food, housing, transport. These are the results of the survey by Noto polls for Il Sole 24 Ore. On the measures put in place by the Government or announced for the coming months, a certain pessimism prevails: 58% of respondents believe that the Budget law for 2024 will fail to provide solutions to deal with the cost of living, for 64% the anti-inflation pact signed with the production and distribution associations will be "irrelevant" for families in the next three months. For half of the respondents, inflation will increase over the next six months.
