Pirelli is extending its presence in Formula 1 as a Global Tyre Partner. Formula 1 and the FIA (Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile) have in fact accepted the offer presented by the Italian company for the three-year period 2025-2027, with the additional possibility of extending the collaboration for an additional season. This agreement, initiated with the technical homologation received from the FIA last June and ratified by the FIA World Council, appoints Pirelli as the sole supplier of the FIA Formula One World Championship and the Formula 2 and Formula 3 championships. At the end of this latest contract (including the possible extension), Pirelli will have been the supplier of Formula 1 for 18 consecutive years, since 2011. Over these years, Pirelli has been a pioneer in all the technological challenges required by motorsport's top competition. From its debut in 2011 with 13-inch high-degradation tires to the transition in 2014 to cars with a hybrid power unit and the use of wider tires from 2017, to the introduction in 2022 of the current 18-inch tires, Pirelli has responded to the challenges with a product that is reliable in all types of asphalt and weather conditions.
