Numerous new identities have been added to the betting case in Italian football. Protagonist, once again, Fabrizio Corona, king of the Italian paparazzi, who after revealing months ago the name of the Juventus midfielder, Nicolò Fagioli (now involved in the investigation of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Turin), has revealed the names of two other players who would be involved in the affair: Nicolò Zaniolo (ex-Roma now at Aston Villa) and Sandro Tonali (ex-Milan today at Newcastle). According to Corona, Zaniolo, in instance, would have bet while sitting on the bench during a Coppa Italia match against Roma at the time. Both players, who were in the national team for the matches against Malta (Saturday in Bari) and England (Tuesday in London), were heard by the police yesterday evening, who informed them of the actions of investigation directly in their departure of the National team in Coverciano. Corona also stated that in the coming weeks, he will release audio and documentation to back up his claims, as well as divulge the names of other players who are accustomed to wagering on football. Meanwhile, the Italian Football Federation has decided to remove Zaniolo and Tonali from the blue squad and send them home due to these obligations.
