More than 25 companies participated in Milan in the Monitor for Circular Fashion, created by the Sustainability Lab Sda Bocconi and Enel X research observatory to provide a well-rounded view on circularity in fashion. Joining was a pool of manufacturers, retailers and brands such as Tod's, Ferragamo, Armani, Kering, Vivienne Westwood, Temera, Albini group, Radici group and Manteco. For project participants, the main benefit in adopting a circularity strategy is improved brand reputation, followed by the creation of new business opportunities and an increase in consumer loyalty. In companies' attempts to increase circularity, however, obstacles emerge related to cost, finding the technologies and skills to meet the recycling challenge, and access to adequate infrastructure. Meanwhile, over the next three years there is an estimated +97% increase in employees specializing in these issues in the supply chain alone and +292% increase in service providers.
