The Colosseum Archaeological Park announces that, beginning tomorrow, October 18, the nominative ticket will be implemented for all types of entrance tickets, a new ticket office will be created alongside the existing one, and the number of tickets sold on site will be doubled. The goal is to combat the phenomenon of scalping and other speculative behaviors on Archaeological Park entrance tickets. The most notable innovation is the personal ticket, which may be purchased on www.colosseo.it, through call centers, and at real ticket offices. The on-site sales network is also strengthened with the opening of a new ticket office, in largo della Salara Vecchia/Via dei Fori Imperiali, which joins the existing one on Piazza del Colosseo, thus bringing to 6 the cash desks available for the purchase of on-site tickets for non-intermediated individual visitors, up to availability. Simultaneously, the percentage of tickets sold on-site will be doubled, benefiting the public who did not supply or were unable to access the online purchase. The remaining percentage of quotas allotted to sales channels is then remodulated: 25% of total tickets will be allocated to the B2B platform for tour operators, and 55% to the B2C platform, i.e. for individual visitors.
