Seven months away from the field, followed by five months of rehabilitation. The federal prosecutor has imposed this sanction on Nicolò Fagioli, who, in chronological order, was the initial participant implicated in the scandal involving unlawful platform betting. The Juventus player could return for matchday 37 of the season, which is planned for the weekend of May 19th. Fagioli secured an automatic 50% reduction in the minimum sentence of 36 months after deciding to bargain even before the referral. The alternative prescriptions require Fagioli to participate in a 6-month therapeutic plan and a 5-month cycle of at least 10 public meetings held at amateur sports associations, federal territorial centers, and centers for gambling addiction recovery, all in accordance with the FIGC's indications and program. The 22-year-old from Piacenza was also fined €12,500 for breaking the ban on betting on official football matches.
