The plan to create a Holocaust Museum in Rome has been approved by the Chamber of Deputies, following the initiative of Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano. "I thank the deputies for unanimously passing the bill to establish the Shoah Museum in Rome, which already exists in other major European capitals. Many people had speculated and believed in it, but unlike in the past, this time the announcements were accompanied by facts. In the hours when we remember the horror of the roundup of Jews in Rome's Ghetto, the Museum has finally become state law," remarked the Minister of Culture. "The maximum agreement between the two houses of Parliament is a sign that remembering the Holocaust's atrocities is a shared value of our nation. The Museum will be a vital location for future generations to hear the testimonies of those innocents who were snatched from their life. It is our responsibility to ensure that the evilness of the Nazi-Fascist criminal plan and the disgrace of the racial laws are not forgotten. All of this is especially crucial in these troubled times, when we are witnessing Hamas massacres in Israel," Sangiuliano remarked.
