The vast majority of the Italian adult population (75 out of 100 people) rate their health status as positive, saying they feel good or very good. This is stated by the results of the "Steps" and "Silver Steps" surveillance surveys updated to 2021-2022. A small percentage (less than 3 percent) report feeling bad or very bad; the remainder of respondents report feeling "fairly well". As for those over 65, 91% of the elderly population rate their health status as positive overall ("fair" 45%, "good" or "very good" 46%). The remaining 9%, on the other hand, give a negative assessment, reporting that their health is "bad" or "very bad".
