Former Italian fencing champion Andrea Cassarà is under investigation by Brescia prosecutors for "production of child pornography". In recent days, Carabinieri seized the 39-year-old two-time Olympic champion's phone, and the smartphone will now be analyzed. The investigation allegedly stemmed from the complaint of a 15-year-old girl who reported seeing a cell phone filming her while she was in the shower in the locker room of a sports center in Brescia. The girl allegedly did not see who, through a grate, was holding the cell phone. After the complaint was made, law enforcement acquired video from security cameras outside the gym. By means of the videos, Cassarà would have been seen in an area compatible with the one indicated by the alleged young victim and at a compatible time. Hence the decision of the Brescia Prosecutor's Office to investigate the former fencer and seize his cell phone in search of possible matches. (Photo by Marie-Lan Nguyen)
