To foster the development of relations between American and Italian space companies and to strengthen the historical relationships already consolidated between the Italian Space Agency and NASA. This is the objective of the visit to the United States by a large number of large companies, SMEs and start-ups, accompanied by the delegation led by the president of ASI, Teodoro Valente, and the director of International Affairs Gabriella Arrigo, the directors of Science and Research and Programs, Mario Cosmo and Roberto Formaro. Cooperation between Italy and the United States in the field of space has a history of over sixty years. Today, relations in the space field between Italy and the USA are excellent, thanks also to the fruitful collaborations between the Italian Space Agency and NASA, recently sealed by the Joint Declaration, last July, between the US President, Joe Biden, and the Italian Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, with whom they inaugurated a "new dialogue" in the space field. The aim is to promote trade and industrial exchange with the support of the respective governments. The current mission of Sistema Paese in the USA organized by ASI, in collaboration with ICE and the industrial associations, is part of this scenario and represents a fundamental stage for the consolidation of Made in Italy on the US market. Later this week, the delegation will visit NASA's Space Centers in Houston and Space X's Space Centers in Los Angeles, where they will meet with the heads of several established U.S. companies, as well as younger and growing companies, in order to strengthen cooperation and increase industrial collaboration. A week full of meetings and opportunities, which will culminate with the presence of the president of ASI also in Washington, where meetings are scheduled with NASA, the State Department, the National Space Council and the White House Office of Science and Technology. The head of ASI, Prof. Teodoro Valente, will also meet with some senators and representatives of Congress, before visiting the Italian ambassador to the United States, Mariangela Zappia, who together with the consuls in Houston and Los Angeles, encouraged and supported the industrial mission, the first concrete act of the "new dialogue" wanted by Biden and Meloni.
