Design Holding, Italy's largest furniture-design Group - which includes Flos, B&B Italia, Louis Poulsen, Maxalto, Arclinea, Azucena, Fendi Casa, Audo Copenaghen, and Lumens - opens a 1,200-square-meter store on three floors in Washington DC. A B&B Italia Design Studio is expected to open in Miami in December. Jointly controlled by international private equity funds Investindustrial and Carlyle, Design Holding in 2022 reached 867.6 million euros in revenues. Now Design Holding's growth strategy is based on four pillars: brand strengthening; geographic expansion, particularly in North America, China and the Middle East; development of direct sales channels; and growth in the high-end contract segment. Next spring will see the arrival of the holding company's largest flagship store encompassing all brands: a 2,000-square-foot, two-level "design hub" on Madison Avenue in New York City. The U.S. openings are joined by the Fendi Casa store (last July in Shanghai) and the Louis Poulsen store in Tokyo, which will open next month.
