The "second-hand" turnover seems to be on the rise. From Giulia De Lellis and Tommaso Zorzi to Belen Rodriguez and Guè Pequeno, the "fever" of secondhand clothing breaks out among Italians, creating a parallel economy that prompted 24 million individuals to purchase secondhand clothing in 2022. Thus, per capita spending on used clothing in Italy surpasses one thousand euros per year (about 1,042 euros), engaging 40% of Italian customers. As an alternative to the high expense of living, Italians turn to secondhand products. While conventional clothes and footwear shop turnover is decreasing, sales in the "second-hand" sector are expanding, thanks to e-commerce sites and specialized platforms. And Italian VIPs are adapting, so much so that the apps where several celebrities, like Chiara Ferragni, Fedez, and Alessia Marcuzzi, sell their clothes are thriving. In the wake of "second hand" a group of young entrepreneurs and celebrities – from Ignazio Moser to Simone Marini, to Cecilia Rodriguez, Giulia Allievi and Maurizio Vaccai – has now launched a platform where they can sell second hand clothes that belonged to VIPs, influencers, and personalities from the world of entertainment, sport and social media, such as Belen and Cecilia Rodriguez, the rapper Guè Pequeno, Giulia De Lellis, Tommaso Zorzi, Guè Pequeno, Giulia De Lellis and Federico Barengo.
