42.6% of Italians believe Hamas is the major perpetrator of the Gaza crisis. However, on the other side, when we include the blame placed on Netanyahu and the Israeli right (32.6%) and the policies of the State of Israel (7.9%), the percentages become nearly identical. This is the conclusion of a recent poll done for Radio Giornale Radio by Proger IndexResearch. 9.7% of respondents opted for the ambiguity of the Palestinians, 7.2% do not know or do not answer. As for Israel's reply, 45.8% of respondents believe it extremely excessive, while for 38.1% it is right; 16.1% don't know or don't answer. Thinking about the effects of the Israeli-Palestinian war, Italians' worry is above all of terrorist attacks (31.3%). 26% worry the spread of the conflict, 23.3% the impact on the economy, only 11.6% the humanitarian consequences. 7.8% don't know or don't answer.
