"I am not optimistic, but we must have hope. We walk the paths not because they are easy, beautiful, or clear, but we must find peace by creating synergies, alliances, collaborations because only together can we reach it". These are the thoughts of Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, who spoke yesterday on Radio Cusano Campus. "Peace is never set aside," the cardinal continued, "whoever fights, even the one who is most caught up in ideological passions, or only in the adrenaline of war, is actually waiting for all this to end. On the subject of the two close wars, first in Ukraine, now in the Middle East, Cardinal Zuppi added, "I think there is never a coincidence, unfortunately. Evil, paradoxically, is also very logical. Let's think about the two disputed regions in Ukraine and the Holy Land in the Middle East: if I don't solve the problems, it is much easier that there can be episodes of violence. So is evil unpredictable? No. Sooner or later, if you put off the problems, the payback will always come".
