A security device, not an anti-terrorism plan, was implemented subsequent to the emergency landing at Fiumicino last Tuesday, as requested by the commander of a Vueling aircraft. The flight had taken off from Paris for Cairo, Egypt. Some newspapers only reported on the occurrence yesterday. According to accounts, the Egyptian passenger, a 29-year-old guy, scrawled "I Love Allah" on the personal medical leaflet, causing worry among the flight crew. As a result, the pilot of the plane, who deemed the situation unsafe, requested a landing. Following the completion of the Digos and Polaria inspections, which revealed no links between the guy and terrorism, the low-cost airline's Airbus departed without incident.
