There is technology from Florence-based Powersoft in Sphere, the next-generation entertainment arena that opened in Las Vegas. The Scandicci-based company, a leader in audio amplification systems, founded and controlled by the Lastrucci family and listed on Euronext Growth Milan, contributed to the Sphere Immersive Sound, the multi-sensory immersive sound system judged to be the most advanced in the world, integrated into 10,000 seats and consisting of 167,000 audio channels, all with Powersoft's high-efficiency 16-channel amplifiers, which provide 40 percent energy savings. "Sphere represents the most innovative and largest application of Powersoft's technology to date," said CEO Luca Lastrucci, who was applauded by David Dibble, CEO of Msg Ventures, a division of Sphere Entertainment: "Powersoft's technology has made the Scandicci-based company the perfect partner to achieve our sustainability goals without compromising audio or tactile quality". Powersoft previously installed on top of a 600-meter skyscraper in Mecca the system to amplify the muezzin's prayer over a 10-kilometer radius.
