When the carabinieri intervened to stop him during a heist, he threatened them with an axe. It happened in Paderno Dugnano, in the province of Milan, in the late morning of Friday, November 10. The man, a homeless and unemployed 35-year-old man, was detained in flagrante delicto for attempted robbery and resisting a public authority. Following an allegation of a theft in process at a company's premises, the carabinieri interfered. When they got inside, they saw a man holding an axe and threatening them. Despite the pepper spray, the man continued to twirl the weapon and fled to a nearby apartment building, where he was tasered following another attempt to hit the military. A note from the carabinieri states that despite this, he managed to dispose of one of the darts and continued his escape by scaling a fence and leaping from a height of approximately three meters into the condominium's cellar, where he was ultimately obstructed following a brief struggle.
