The smart supermarket without cash registers has been opened in Verona and is called Conad "Take&Go". The 200-square-meter store refers to the Trentino-based cooperative Dao, and follows the example of Amazon Go in the United States. The shopping system is identical to that of any supermarket. The customer picks up a package of cookies, a carton of milk or a bottle of detergent and puts everything in the cart. As he or she does this, three systems are activated to locate the product and record the price so that at the checkout, the products do not have to be passed on the belt. There is only a screen to check what products are purchased in the aisles and a slot where he can insert his credit or debit card to pay. It is Italy's first supermarket experiment that allows "smart" shopping, avoiding the passing of products on the belt near the checkouts.
