2023 will be remembered as the year in which, after a continuous and uninterrupted progression that lasted about fifteen years, Smart TVs caught up with and surpassed traditional TVs, so that today there are a total of 21 million Smart TVs and 20 and a half million traditional TVs in Italian homes. This is what is certified by the sixth Auditel-Censis Report, significantly entitled "The new television Italy". The growth of screens depends exclusively on the increase in connected screens, which make it possible to integrate linear TV content with the streaming offer: in 2023 there are 97 million, up 31.7% in the last seven years and 4.4% in the last year, with an average of four connected devices per home.
