Intesa Sanpaolo launches Think Forestry, a reforestation and natural capital preservation project aimed at fostering environmental sustainability and the transition to a zero-emissions economy. The goal, globally, is the planting and preservation of 100 million trees through the joint action of the bank and corporate clients. For the first time, an Italian bank is directly engaging and activating the business system toward a path of sustainable development, with the goal of zero emissions. The first phase of Think Forestry involves large and medium-sized enterprises. In Turin, at Parco Colletta, there was the first planting, then it was the turn of Rome in the Mezzocammino area: in all, about 2,500 trees were planted. From 2024, the activity will then be extended throughout the country. Think Forestry aims to involve all customers, including families, who from 2024 will be able to join the program thanks to a special initiative of For Funding, Intesa Sanpaolo's crowdfunding platform, aimed at supporting social and environmental initiatives with the greatest impact.
