The European Commission has reduced Italy's economic growth prediction for this year to 0.7%, while raising its growth forecast for 2024 to 0.9% at most. According to the numbers in the autumn economic forecasts, the EU executive anticipates Italian GDP to expand by 1.2% in 2025. Three months ago, Brussels forecasted 0.9% growth in Italy this year and 0.8% growth in 2024. The Italian government's budget proposal for next year expects growth of 0.8% in 2023, additional 1.2% in 2024, and 1.4% in 2025.
