Jannik Sinner is mathematically qualified to the semifinals of the ATP Finals in Turin. The passage of the round comes from the fact that yesterday Novak Djokovic lost the second set 6-4 in his match with Hubert Hurkacz (he won the first one 7-6). Little did it matter the result of the Italian's subsequent challenge against Holger Rune of Denmark, who was nevertheless folded in three sets. Sinner became the first Italian to reach the second round of the "masters" tournament, a historic achievement for national tennis.
