While final explanations of vote on the lab-grown meat bill were still underway in the Chamber, tension was already erupting outside, amid tensions, accusations and even jostling. After expressing their firm opposition to a "sovereignist" bill, PiùEuropa parliamentarians Benedetto Della Vedova and Riccardo Magi also went to show their dissent at largo Chigi, where a presidium of Coldiretti, the inspirer of the Lollobrigida-Schillaci bill, had been underway since this morning, displaying a flyer that read "Cultivate ignorance". This provoked the reaction of Coldiretti's president himself, Ettore Prandini, and a clash that degenerated from verbal to physical with Della Vedova. The latter, who returned to the courtroom, expressed outrage "at a very serious event involving the president of a powerful labor organization". Della Vedova announced he would file a complaint and called on Minister Lollobrigida "not to participate in Coldiretti's demonstration, which would be an acknowledgement of violence against Parliament". Prandini responded to the accusations by stating that he will in turn file a complaint against Della Vedova for displaying provocative signs reading "Cultivate ignorance". He stressed the importance of respect from parliamentarians to the agricultural world represented by Coldiretti. Prandini admitted that he intervened to express his disagreement with Della Vedova and tried to have the sign taken down.
