Fincantieri will deliver 86 ships worth $22.2 billion between now and 2030. During the first nine months of the year, the company managed by CEO Pierroberto Folgiero received new orders totaling 4 billion euros and delivered 17 ships constructed in 10 different shipyards. "The diving sector is Fincantieri's new challenge: the world leader in shipbuilding has the driving force to lead a new supply chain that concerns the underwater," Folgiero said in a statement. "The results achieved in the first nine months of 2023 demonstrate a positive progression towards the objectives we have set ourselves in the new business plan in operational, economic and financial terms," states the CEO, adding that "satisfaction with production performance stems from the fact that the 17 ships we delivered in the period to 10 shipyards were built thanks to the expertise and dedication of our people, having designed them during Covid and built in a context characterized by the escalation of the cost of materials and some difficulties in finding labor" .
