Silvio Berlusconi's legacy continues to make headlines. The latest news is that the first installment of the 100 million euro testamentary bequest that the Cavaliere left her has been paid to Marta Fascina. All of the Mediaset founder's children, including his youngest son Luigi, who was also not mentioned among the recipients of the holographic will that the former premier wrote shortly before an urgent hospitalization on January 19, 2022, made the payment. The bequest to the leader's companion will be settled in three, maximum four tranches. The crux of the luxurious Arcore residence, however, is still to be solved. Many among the Forza Italia supporters are wondering when Fascina will leave Villa San Martino. From a legal point of view, center-right parliamentary sources report, the law on civil unions would prove her right: as a surviving cohabitee, her right to housing is also protected. In a nutshell: no one would be able to dump the parliamentarian, who has a congruous amount of time to look for a new home, until 2026. Meanwhile, on November 8, Marta Fascina - whom Berlusconi had elected as an MP - rejoined Parliament, where she had been missing for more than seven months.
