German judges have given the go-ahead for the surrender to Italian authorities of Filippo Turetta, who was arrested on a European arrest warrant for the murder of ex-girlfriend Giulia Cecchettin. In a note, which follows one on the validation of the arrest in which the 22-year-old had already expressed consent to repatriation, German magistrates explained that "if the persecuted person has consented to the simplified extradition and no more obstacles are evident, no further court decision is necessary" to execute it.
