On the occasion of the Italian Phonographic Association's 75th anniversary of establishment, Head of State Sergio Mattarella honored the organization yesterday at the Quirinale. The President of the Republic was the one who emphasized the value of music in everyone's social life. And it's not just music: "You recall that the Constitution was born 75 years ago. And thus Italian Phonographic Association (AFI) was created. This coincidental event is significant. It is most likely unintentional, yet it leads to contemplation on the significance of what you do. Our institutions are governed by the Constitution," Mattarella stated, addressing the AFI delegation. "Above all, the ideals it embodies guide our society and provide significance to our country's social life," concluded the Head of State. "In this regard, the collaboration of art and music is truly fundamental in giving meaning to social life," Mattarella continued, "because the emotions it arouses, the positive feelings it induces to have and nurture, are a decisive contribution to the life of our country, orienting it according to the values of the Constitution. Those of peaceful cohabitation, solidarity, mutual intimacy, and shared dedication”.
