With less than a month to go before Christmas, shopping kicks off for six out of ten Italians (59%). This is according to a Coldiretti/Ixe analysis. If there are those who prefer to wait for the arrival of the thirteenth month, the majority of Italians anticipate purchases for an estimated expenditure of 194 euros per person, 14 percent more than last year, albeit with significant differences. While the majority of those shopping (40 percent) will contain their budgets under the €100 threshold, another 35 percent will go up to €200 and a further 11 percent will go to €300 and 7 percent up to €500. But there is also a 5 percent of "moneybags" who will exceed this amount.
