Attorney Emanuele Compagno has renounced his mandate as public defender for Filippo Turetta, the young man accused of the murder of Giulia Cecchettin, since yesterday in Verona prison after his extradition was granted by Germany. "I consider my work as public defender concluded with Turetta's arrival in Italy," the lawyer explained, "even though he himself had appointed me as a trusted defender. Now the trial will go on. From the beginning I had told the family members that a trusted counsel would be needed, and I filed the waiver this afternoon".
