Italy and Saudi Arabia have agreed to collaborate on mining projects, as well as supply chain and raw material processing. This is the major outcome of Adolfo Urso's visit to Riyadh as Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy. "Italy and Saudi Arabia are dedicated to creating a regulatory and industrial environment that promotes and accelerates strategic autonomy in the critical raw materials sector. To this end, in addition to sharing our respective best practices, with President al Saalem we explored the possibility of joint partnerships and investments, especially in the extractive sector, both in our respective countries and in third areas, such as the African continent, which is inconsistent with the Mattei Plan that our government is developing," said Minister Urso. Another topic that was discussed at the conference was the execution of investments in mutually beneficial industrial sectors such as automotive, oil and gas, defense, boating, agri-food, and projects with a high rate of technical advancements such as green technologies, hydrogen, and space. To that end, top representatives from some Italian companies present in Saudi Arabia attended the meeting, including Pirelli, which recently signed an agreement for production development in the country, EuroPort, Maire Tecnimont, Prysmian, Roboze, Deloitte, Poseidon LNG Hub, and Gruppo San Donato.
